The oncidiums above are some more that are bloomed in January. Notice in the close-ups that the blooms are similar... but still different.
This is a unique oncidium. Above, you see the entire plant. To the right is the spike! (The lighting is much better on the right, making the blooms show up better.)
To the right is one spectacular oncidium. When I called the owner I told him that I wanted to come take a picture of it when it was in full bloom. (He agreed.) I counted the buds-- and there are at least 75! I can hardly wait to see it in full bloom. By the way, he owed $15 in baby-sitting fees.
This is the orchid above about 3 weeks later. The color really has changed! The weight of the blooms make the spike branch over beautifully. The owner said there were about 110 blooms, including a few buds ready to open. Not one bloom has fallen off yet.
